The R 1300 RS Performance is BMW’s most advanced sport-tourer yet—lighter, stronger, and more precise.
At the core is a new 1300cc air/liquid-cooled Boxer twin with BMW ShiftCam, producing 145 hp @ 7,750 rpm and 149 Nm of torque @ 6,500 rpm. A shorter-stroke design sharpens throttle response while delivering massive midrange pull. Power is sent through a 6-speed gearbox with quickshifter, slipper clutch, and maintenance-free shaft drive.
A redesigned steel main frame with aluminum rear section improves rigidity and mass centralization, while 47 mm USD forks and EVO Paralever rear suspension—with available Dynamic Suspension Adjustment—keep the bike planted at speed.
The Performance package adds lighter components, sport-tuned suspension, and RS-specific styling for sharper handling and reduced unsprung mass.
Advanced electronics include ride modes, lean-sensitive ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, engine brake control, cruise control, and a full TFT display with connectivity—all tuned for aggressive sport riding and long-distance comfort.
